How To Detail The Interior Of Your Car

In the last blog we talked about how to detail the exterior of your car, so in this blog I thought we would run through the basics of interior detailing! Here’s a simple 7 step process we use to detail interiors:

1. Start with vacuuming. Vacuum the carpets, floor mats, and seats to remove any loose debris and dirt.

2. Wipe down all vinyl, rubber, and plastic surfaces. This will remove surface dirt and light scuffs. You can do this with a microfiber towel and APC (all purpose cleaner).

3. Wipe down door jambs. You can do this by rinsing then applying APC and wiping down as you would the paint. 

4. Next, target scuffs and scratches that didn’t come off from step 2 (i.e door sills, door cards, door panels, dashboard).

  5. Clean glass.

6. Do a final vacuum to remove any dirt that accumulated throughout the detail. 

7. Dress all the vinyl, rubber, and plastic with a dedicated interior protectant for a brand new look.
