How To Wash Your Car In Direct Sun Without Waterspots

Have you ever been washing your car and realized that the water is drying on it faster than you can get it off? One of the biggest problems we face being a mobile detailing business is the weather. The truth is that because we can’t control it, we have to find ways to face it. Here are our top two strategies for facing direct sunlight when washing your car.

1. This might be a no-brainer for some but simply rinsing each panel as you go can help mitigate this problem. If you have never tried this and you're looking for a simple no-cost fix…this might be it!

2. Try using a drying aid after rinsing the soap off your car. Believe it or not, this is an industry secret for drying cars without water spotting! You can buy a good drying aid from Amazon and next time you wash your car, simply apply it right after the final rinse.

You can try one of these or even use both in tandem for best results! We recommend starting with the first method as it is cost-free and only takes a little more work! However, if you want the best possible, most guaranteed method, there’s no better way to avoid water spotting than with a ceramic coating! More on that in the next blog. If you have any questions at all about paint correction, ceramic coatings, or auto detailing and you are in the Sturgis, SD area, we would love to help clear the fog! Call us anytime!
