How To Winterize Your Car

For better or worse, winter is coming fast.. and with winter comes road salt, snow, and ice. All of these can and will damage your car if not properly prepared. In this blog I thought we would go over just a few things you can do to prepare your car for the elements.

  1. Spraying the undercarriage regularly during the winter. You can get an undercarriage sprayer attachment for a pressure washer online for under $30 and you will be amazed at the dirt and contaminants you never knew were on your undercarriage at this time of year!

  2. Ceramic coating your windshield. Simply installing a ceramic coating on your windshield before the winter will make your visibility night and day better during those crazy snowstorms!

  3. Regularly washing the exterior of your car. This sounds simple but will prevent rust in the long term and obviously improves the look of your car in the short term! Make sure to get into all the tight and hard to reach areas (wheel wells, bumper grill, under the running boards, etc).

Once again, the main theme here is rust prevention and keeping your car in great condition over the life of your ownership! Applying these 3 simple tips will dramatically lengthen the lifespan of your car over the long term! If you have any questions about anything ceramic coatings, paint correction, or auto detailing related, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time!
